As we continue to monitor and respond to the status of the pandemic, our church leadership has implemented best-practices for how our community gathers in-person.

Since May 2020, when lockdown orders were lifted for houses of worship, we have been worshipping in person with limited seating and guidelines in place. When you are comfortable returning to in-person activities, the information below will guide your experience on Sunday mornings for worship and for other activities.Although Worship and other activities might look a little different right now, we are taking every reasonable precaution to provide a safe space for people to gather.

covid Guidelines for worship

For the safety of our attendees and staff attendees, church leaders have developed the following guidelines:

  • Those with symptoms of illness (fevers, aches, cough, sneezing) and underlying health conditions that put them at risk are asked to stay home.

  • Masks are required at all times.

  • Attendees are asked to observe social-distancing guidelines while onsite.

  • Temperature checks are performed of all staff and attendees, and hand-sanitizing stations are positioned throughout the building.

  • Available seats in the Sanctuary are marked, and groups that arrive together may sit together.

  • The first two rows are roped off to provide at least 30 feet of space between worshipers and worship leaders, who do not wear masks while leading worship.

  • Air purifiers are stationed around the Sanctuary. They completely turn over the air in 20 minutes with 99.9% purification.

  • Children in Sunday School are asked to abide by the same guidelines, and our Children's ministry staff (who are temperature-checked and sanitize frequently) are tasked with ensuring the guidelines are followed.

About Worship

  • Worship takes place in the Sanctuary. There is no air-conditioning in this space, so please dress comfortably! When the weather allows, windows may be open. When windows aren't open, air purifiers are used to cycle and purify the air in the space.

  • Seats are marked so that groups sit at least 6 feet apart.

  • Restrooms are available.

  • Children are welcome and may remain with their parents throughout Worship or go to Sunday School, where social distancing, masks, and frequent sanitizing is required.

  • Adjustments to Worship include:

    • No contact during the Greeting (no handshakes, hugs, or close talking);

    • No congregational singing at this time. All singing will be led by worship leaders;

    • No passing of an offering plate; individuals bring their offering to the front and place it in the offering plate or give electronically;

    • Communion is served in individually packaged portions;

    • Worshipers asked to wear their masks at all times;

    • Refreshments after Worship are served in individually packed portions.

Worship continues both in-person and online on Sundays at 10:30am.
