FAITH FORMATION &
OUR STORY

LOGOCrossOnly.jpg

Community Congregational Church was founded in 1953 by eight friends who felt the need for a simplified, non-liturgical form of worship. Their objectives were to bring people together in the name of Christ and to create a Christian fellowship with neither rigid dogmas nor creeds as a condition of membership. These objectives remain a foundation of the church.

The church is led by our Lead Pastor, the Rev. Dr. Johann J. Bosman, Assistant Pastor, Rev. Margie Price and our Director of Music Ministries, Brian Dailey. As a congregational church, decisions are made by the members of the church, with a Church Board of elected officers at the head. We are affiliated with a mainline Protestant denomination, the United Church of Christ.

Worship is held at 10:30am each Sunday and is a multimedia experience of Bible-based messages and engaging music. We celebrate in blended style - that means our band plays everything from your favorite old hymns to contemporary Christian music, and all kinds of good stuff in between! Our children's ministry, CommunityKids, and our Student Ministry (for 6th-8th grade) is held concurrently with worship, and childcare is offered for infants and toddlers.

We offer adult and children's programs to deepen your faith. Bible Study, Volunteer opportunities and children's Sunday School rooted in learning about Jesus! Our facilities include a Sanctuary comfortably seating 500 people with a full pipe organ, piano, and newly renovated projection system; a Chapel seating 100 people with its own organ, a piano, and projection system; a Memorial Garden; a large Fellowship Hall with a stage, kitchen facilities, and a conference room; an administrative wing with offices and a conference room; and a separate Christian Education Building with a playground and a 200-space parking lot.
